We just heard the news from a Bajaj source who wishes to be anonymous saying that these motorcycles are a 400cc DOHC engine is being developed right now as we speak. 400cc DOHC engine is new because the Dominar uses a SOHC motor and a new DOHC motor means Bajaj could be planning the much awaited 400cc Pulsar RS is coming. There has been a lot of buzz about the same but nothing has been confirmed. This engine news does confirm the same. Also, what our source says that maybe there is a plan for a brand new brand name for this 400 DOHC engine motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp introduced the i3S technology on the Splendor commuter motorcycle in 2014. The bike is called Splendor iSmart. Now the company appears to be planning to use the technology in its other products as well. A test mule of a motorcycle, believed to be the iSmart version of the Passion has been spotted. The i3S technology features an idle stop-start system, which automatically shuts the engine while idling and turns it on when the rider twists the throttle. This system is said to enhance the fuel efficiency of the bike. The Passion iSmart is rumoured to be powered by a 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine. In November 2015, we had reported that Hero MotoCorp was testing a new 110cc commuter motorcycle with the iSmart technology (click here to read report). Now, the bike has been spotted without any camouflage. Images suggest that the new bike has a simple design with telescopic forks at the front and a 5-step adjustable suspension at the rear. It has black alloy wheels, a long contoured seat, split pillion grab rails, clear lens turn-indicators, a chrome-tipped exhaust and an instrument cluster with blue dials. The iSmart is believed to be powered by a 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine that features Hero's i3S technology. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), which leads the mass commuter motorcycle market in the 110cc segment, has reason to celebrate. Its latest 110cc bike – the Livo – has become the bestselling model in its segment in the market a little over a year after commercial launch. HMSI had launched the Livo in July 2015 with a starting price-tag of Rs 52,989 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and in four colour options – blue, white, brown and black. According to the company, the Honda Livo was developed to address two primary requirements of the category of buyers it caters to – fuel economy and stylish design language. The Livo is targeted at aspirational first-time buyers across urban, semi-urban and even rural markets. Honda will be officially launching the Livo next week and is likely to phase out the CB Twister in the following months that is currently sold in the same space. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially confirmed that its new commuter motorcycle Livo will be launched on 10th July in the country. The Honda Livo will be stepping into the shoes of the CB Twister in the automaker’s lineup and is targeted at urban buyers, unlike its Dream series. Furthermore, Honda India has also commenced the promotional campaign for the Livo and it comes with the tagline ‘Time to Live’. Suzuki Motorcycles India has launched a new 110cc motorcycle called the Hayate for the Indian market. The Hayate was originally shown at the Auto Expo 2012 alongside the Swish 125cc scooter. The 'Hayate', Japanese for 'Fresh breeze' or 'Swift wind', is a 110 cc motorcycle that is targeted at first-time motorcycle owners and also at people who want a competent and frugal commuter. It sports an 112.8cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor that makes 8.2 bhp mated to a four-speed gearbox box. The design isn’t too far removed from the Slingshot 125cc motorcycle from the same stable. As for the running gear, it sports a drum brake at the front, 17-inch rims, adjustable shock absorbers at the back and a commuter-spec single downtube frame. Yes, we have the first, somewhat hazy photographs of the new Honda 110cc Twister! Looks good, doesn’t it? This is, in all probability, the 110cc offering from Honda which will be unveiled at the Auto Expo in Jan 2010. It’s indeed quite stylish for an 110cc commuter. While it might not be very visible in the pictures, it looks like a mash-up between a Hero Honda Hunk and a Stunner with some inspired bits from the CB1000 thrown in for good measure along with some glossy paint. For an 110cc motorcycle, it looks pretty awesome. Honda wants to position this as a fun motorcycle rather than a plain ol’ boring commuter, so let’s see how well Honda can pull that one off. TVS Star City+ Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company on Tuesday launched the new dual tone 110 cc Star City+ motorcycle for Rs 50,800 (Ex-Showroom Tamil Nadu) for the upcoming festive season.
